That could indeed be one of their titles. There has also been the idea that a new Imperial capital be founded elsewhere, though this is purely debate atm. if such a thing were to happen however I feel a location on the Mississippi river would be appropriate as it is roughly in the center of the country, on a major navigable water way, and with further investment in major infrastructure projects such a site could easily become the center of the hemisphere.

It's inspired by historical examples, even those that continue to this day such as the Duchy of Lancaster and the Duchy of Cornwall both of which provide income to the Monarch and the Prince of Wales in the UK respectively. The idea that the monarch should be funded but not at the whims of any other institution arose out of the simple understanding that they could hold the monarchy to ransom otherwise, and that has happened in history. Financially weak monarchs have lead to some pretty violent struggles. The monarchy being financially self-sufficient and powerful is one component of a stable and powerful monarchy.
